Since medical marijuana was now legal in our state, I wanted to talk to my doctor & see if he could request it for me, but he told me not only could not request medical marijuana, but he wouldn’t.
He didn’t believe marijuana was safe for anyone, but i told him I study a lot about marijuana, & it had a lot of medicinal properties, and my doctor was getting older, & I was sure he knew all about marijuana. He was from the era where they believed in peace, love, & getting high. My generation believed in peace, appreciate & harmony. Most of us had no problem with people getting high, however I wished it was legal, but using medical marijuana would provide me the same relaxation & calming effect as street marijuana, however it would be legal. I asked my doctor why he didn’t believe in medical marijuana, but when he said it took away from the profession of medicine, & had people diagnosing themselves, he knew it was wrong, you had to have a physician help you get medical marijuana, so where did the idea of people diagnosing themselves come from? I told him I thought he was wrong, & he shrugged. He said most people had their right to their personal opinions, & I asked him what he thought of medical marijuana. I finally found a doctor who specialized in pain management who would help me get the marijuana ID card. He advocated me to a colleague who was sanctioned by the state to help people get their medical marijuana ID card. I thanked my pain management doctor.
