My aunt is the type of guy who is always looking for a quick buck.
If he can make a lot of cash & do genuinely little to do it, he is delighted.
Last year, he was helping with the census, & kept telling us he went to a couple of houses, & called the rest. He made almost $1000. I didn’t believe him, however if it made him delighted to tell us that, I would not say a word. It was none of my business. Last week, he was at our house. He told Mom he was suing the government, & the people who manufactured the medical marijuana he was using. He had been using medical marijuana for almost a year, & he was now impotent. My father laughed. He told aunt he knew for a fact he had been using marijuana for decades before the thought of legalizing it for medical reasons was even a notion, let alone being a law. Uncle was sputtering when Mom told him this. He said he would have done nothing illegal. He looked at me & then back at Mom. In a false whisper, he told Mom he should never talk like this in front of the kid. I was the one laughing now. I was almost twenty-five & cabin on leave from the Navy. Uncle was trying to stop us both from laughing, & said he had never had a problem until he started using medical marijuana, however Mom told him he was just lucky enough to have observed no problems until recently. Uncle was so upset that he got up & walked out of the house; but he hadn’t yet asked what was for supper.
