It is absolutely aggravating to have a bunch of bills and no money to pay them.
It’s even more aggravating when you’re supposed to have money to pay them and it does not come to the bank. That’s what happened to me last Thursday when I was supposed to receive my pay from the marijuana dispensary where I work. Last month, the marijuana dispensary hired a brand new payroll company to handle all of the employee and management payroll and accounting. The payroll company was supposed to make it easier to keep track of hours and pay. I like the new system much better, because I can easily clock in and out using the computer and it takes about 3 seconds. In the past, we used to chase down the manager and have her write our time down so she could manually enter it into the system later. The payroll company for the marijuana dispensary was supposed to make things easier, but it’s only managed to make things more difficult. Last Thursday, I was supposed to get paid and I was anxiously awaiting the money to hit my banking account. I have direct deposit and this was the week that direct deposit was set up. When I did not have any funds at the bank, I was very aggravated. I went to the store expecting to pick up a check. The manager informed me that there was no check, only a direct deposit slip. The manager told me that I needed to contact the payroll company, but I sat in her office until she made the call herself.
