You meet the most random people at parties sometimes.
I don’t go out to bars, clubs, and parties because I want to find a date, or a mate, I go just for a bit of fun.
I love making “single-serving” friends and having an amazing time knowing I will never see them again. A few nights ago I met the most fascinating single-serving friend of them all. He was only in town for a few days, visiting the local cannabis farms and sampling their crops. That was his job, to travel around the country sampling the cannabis crops of high-end farms. I instantly started asking him a bunch of questions, as you might imagine, because smoking medical cannabis for a living seemed to be too good to be true! He showed me his business card, as the purchasing agent for one of the biggest medical cannabis companies in the country. Although he was not the only road agent, it was a very rare job to find, because the competition was so intense. Sampling and rating medical cannabis is a dream job for almost everyone who smokes weed, so landing the job is a one in a million shot. It was a great conversation, because he had a lot of cool stories about the medical cannabis industry, but he also convinced me that I would never possibly get the job. I wish he could be more than a single-serving friend, because his travel bag was laden with dozens of samples of medical cannabis and I would love to help him taste them all! Maybe next time.
