You meet the most random people at parties sometimes.
I don’t go out to bars, clubs, and parties because I want to find a date, or a mate, I go just for a bit of fun.
I appreciate making “single-serving” friends and having an amazing time knowing I will never see them again. A few evenings ago I met the most fascinating single-serving neighbor of them all, and she was only in the neighborhood for a few afternoons, visiting the local cannabis farms and sampling their crops… That was her job, to travel around the country sampling the cannabis crops of high-end farms. I right away started asking him a bunch of questions, as you might imagine, because smoking medical cannabis for an honest resident seemed to be too good to be true! She showed myself and others her business card, as the purchasing agent for one of the biggest medical cannabis companies in the country. Although she was not the only road agent, it was a truly scarce job to find, because the competition was so intense, and sampling and rating medical cannabis is a dream job for almost everyone who smokes weed, so landing the job is a one in a million shot. It was a good conversation, because she had a lot of cool stories about the medical cannabis industry, but she also convinced myself and others that I would never possibly get the job. I wish she could be more than a single-serving friend, because her travel tote was laden with dozens of samples of medical cannabis and I would appreciate helping him taste them all! Maybe next time.
