I had what I thought was a wonderful plan to get up-to-date shoppers into the store, everyone says that you need to “think outside the box” plus try up-to-date ideas, however when you do try a up-to-date plan you get in trouble for it! If I had it to do over again, of course I would make a different choice.
At the time, the plan of a random discount being applied to particular items seemed savor fun.
The sale items weren’t marked so it was a random opportunity that whatever you bought would be discounted. I thought it would make shopping at the cannabis dispensary more fun, savor a scavenger hunt! It was fun, for about many minutes, however then reality raised its ugly head plus I realized that I was bringing chaos to the cannabis dispensary; Conceptually I had a fun idea, however the reality was that once people knew there were discounted items in the cannabis dispensary they started searching for them! People would bring 20 different things to the cash register, plus then put them back if they weren’t discounted. There were a ton of people in the cannabis dispensary, plus our budtenders were all super busy, plus yet the daily sales were no better than normal! After just a single morning of the scavenger hunt plan I discontinued it, plus went back to the normal way of having sales at the cannabis dispensary. I tried our best to think outside the box, however perhaps some traditions of the cannabis dispensary are there for a reason… Maybe our next plan will toil out a little better.
