The grocery store was my first job.
I started working as a bag boy and then I was promoted to cashier. After that, I joined the produce department. I was working as a butcher when an opportunity for a different job came up. My best friend Jack told me that the marijuana dispensary was hiring. He was already working at the marijuana dispensary as a delivery driver. I was hoping to get a job delivering marijuana as well, but I happily applied for a job working in the store, when one was available. I was super thankful that my friend told me about the job before anyone else could snag it. I met with the manager of the dispensary a couple of days after I turned in my application. The manager told me that I was recommended by Jack and he had good things to say about me and my work ethic. After the interview, I was hired to work full-time in the store. There are a lot of perks to working in the marijuana dispensary. One of the biggest perks is the savings and discount I receive on all recreational and medical marijuana products. I receive a hefty 35% discount. The discount is almost like getting paid an extra $5 an hour. I used to spend a fortune on recreational marijuana products, but now I save a ton because I buy my items from the same place where I work. I’m super thankful that Jack helped me get the job.
