Thursday afternoon I was working at the marijuana dispensary.
- I wasn’t supposed to work as a delivery driver that day, but the store was busy.
I took a couple of deliveries after lunch. One of those deliveries was down near the canyon at the very south end of the city. I’ve not been down that way to deliver, but I’ve driven in that area to go to the state park that is four or five miles from the area. I thought I knew exactly where I was going, so I wasn’t bothered when the internet cut out and I lost the GPS tracking. I had the address on the order and I was only a few miles away at the time. Unfortunately, I ended up getting lost on the back roads. I had to drive all the way out of the valley to get service on my phone. Thankfully the directions were easy to write down, because they disappeared as soon as I lost signal again. I was delayed by 30 minutes because I could not find the address for the marijuana delivery order. When I finally arrived, the owner of the house asked if it was difficult to find the place. I told the woman that I got lost for 15 minutes. I think she must have taken pity on me, because she gave me a huge tip. The woman gave me $18 on a $70 marijuana order. That is probably one of the biggest tips that I have ever received. I don’t see delivery tips that big unless I deliver orders that are four or $500.
