They take a lot of things for granted, like having toilets everywhere that we go.
During the quarantine and most of the following year, there were no public bathrooms open anywhere in the state.
There were no public bathrooms in the park, grocery store, superstore, or the gas station. Once you left your home, you were on your own. I forgot how hard it was to go without a public toilet until a day when I could not hold myself any longer. My friend and I drove out to the city to go to a marijuana dispensary. I used the bathroom before I left, but I had to pee again when we got to the dispensary. The lady behind the counter told me that the bathrooms were still closed. I thought I was going to lose it. I got my bladder to calm down and I sat in a chair. The lady in front of me was taking forever to order. When it was finally my turn, I couldn’t even get up from the chair. I knew that I had to find a way to keep myself from peeing all over the place. I told the woman just a second and she gave me a phone and called the next person in line. The budtender told me that I had to register with the front desk again, because I wasn’t ready when it was my turn. I got very frustrated and angry and I lost my temper. I yelled and made a huge scene. I ended up getting kicked out of the dispensary. I did not make it back to the house before I had to relieve my bladder. It was one of the worst experiences of my entire life.
