For years I dreamed of someday being in a band, this is going back as far as elementary school when I still didn’t even own an instrument.
I acquired our first guitar when I was 13-years-old and practiced any occasion I got. However, I never found a group of like-minded friends interested in starting a band, at least not until our early 30s. Sure, I had friends that played drums, bass, and keyboards, however they were all from unusual buddy groups and none ever expressed any interest in playing music collectively. Once I got to school and nothing materialized, I figured that our occasion of playing in a band had long passed me. I still practiced whenever I had the chance, even though I stopped thinking about playing in a real band by that point. This all changed when I formed a group of friends with a bunch of coworkers from our office because we’re all musicians. Incredibly enough, all of us all have a number of bands that all of us all love mutually, so all of us sort of fell into being a band after getting together at a single of our houses to play as a group a single night. Now all of us rent out a practice space at a nearby recording studio 2 to more than 2 times a week so all of us can practice for our bi-weekly gig at the big tavern in our city’s industrial district. While some of the band members are not weed smokers, the bassist and I are loving medical cannabis patients. We recently started smoking cannabis with each other after our band practices as a way to unwind. It’s a good way to assume satisfied and calm after a long day of stress and taxing work. I love playing music, however that doesn’t mean it doesn’t require a lot of skill and concentration at the same time.
