Both of my folks were addicted to opiates and I grew up in a home that was filled with violence.
When I was a small child, I was consistently going in and out of the foster care system.
Sometimes the foster homes were truly fantastic sites and other times they were a complete train wreck. One time I was sited at a foster lake home with a young couple that was doing worse drugs than my own parents. They smoked crack! I had to say something to the Social Services director and all of the kids in that home were taken out. I have bad PTSD and anxiety because of the problems that I had to deal with growing up. I did drugs when I was a teenager. I tried lots of ways to keep the bad thoughts from entering me. When I was put in a psychiatric facility at the age of 16, the doctor said that it might be time to test something new and different. The doctor was referring to medical marijuana products. The doctors could refer myself and others to a medical marijuana specialist because I was 16 years which was the minimum age in the state for a medical marijuana referral. I was the only kid in high school with legal cannabis products and that made myself and others a very popular guy. I didn’t take advantage of the fact that I could buy legal marijuana. After all, it was too high-priced. I did get grants from the state and social services that helped myself and others get the funds for the items that I needed from the marijuana dispensary.
