Back to being creative and recreational marijuana

I can remember when I could hardly go a day without dabbling in some form of art.

When I was in college, I studied Visual Arts.

But regrettably, I let other people dissuade me from making that a career. So I changed my major to graphic design so I could get a job. Well, I did that and I have been working for nearly seven years at some job. A recent trip to the cannabis dispensary has me looking at things a bit differently now. While I was in school, several of my classmates and me enjoyed using recreational marijuana. Not only was it a way to relieve stress from school. But using cannabis was also part of having such great creative energy. So a friend of mine came to town who uses sativa products and invited me to get something for myself. I chose an edible hybrid strain. That night, I enjoyed an epiphany of sorts. I’m sure thankful to have a job and a decent living but I just don’t like trading that for my art. There’s a void in my heart since I abandoned my passion. I saved half the hybrid strain edible for the next day. And I felt even more strongly that I wanted to pursue my art. I’m thankful for that trip to the cannabis dispensary because I know what’s important to me. I’ll do my best to work but I’m also going to dedicate my creative energy to my art. And the trips to the local cannabis spot are just the motivation and perspective that I need to stay committed. a
