I walked into the local cannabis yearning to experience something that I had only heard about.
What I didn’t realize was that I walked out of there with a bag of reality. Sometimes we get the things that we most seek through other quests. And the cannabis I took home that night wasn’t just the relaxation and stress relief that I had been searching for. No, what I got from the local cannabis spot was a bag of reality. That’s what I have found sound profoundly moving about my experiences with marijuana. I was tired of the same old thing of partying every weekend at the bar or somebody’s house. It starts out as such a highly anticipated opportunity to just let off some steam and lean into not dealing with reality. And who could blame me? I work hard and am always accountable so why not get my party on at the end of the week, right? Right, well that’s just not how it was working for me. Friday drinking turned into Saturday drinking which then turned into recovery Sunday and back to the grind on Monday. Since I took that first trip to the cannabis dispensary, I see what I had been wanting all along was some actual reality. Not work, not social, not all the distractions we surround ourselves with. I bought some sativa dominant hybrid strains for sale and what happened next was a perspective on my reality that I was sorely missing. The thing that I’m now so thankful for when it comes to cannabis products is the fact that I’m not running from myself anymore. I’m eager to actually see what’s all around me and be connected to it. Maybe it shouldn’t be deemed a cannabis dispensary and more like a reality dispensary.
