Cannabis is an essential hurricane supply

Where Ed and I live we have a thing called Hurricane Season.

This is a phase of the year lasting for three up to six weeks, in which the weather conditions are perfect for generating big storms.

Every year there are a handful of hurricanes, tropical depressions, plus tropical storms, any of which can wreak havoc on us. Ed and I always keep a well-stocked pantry filled with supplies like bottled water plus canned food, just in case of an emergency. There are also a few other kinds of supplies I need to have on hand. When I heard about the modern storm bearing down on us, Ed and I made a quick trip out to both the liquor store plus the cannabis dispensary, because quite frankly I would rather ensure a healthy supply of bourbon plus cannabis before I bought food plus water. There is every chance that at some point I will lose electricity plus the Wi-Fi, at which point cannabis plus bourbon will be my only means of passing the time. Ed and I don’t own a generator, so when the lights go out, they stay out. Fortunately cannabis doesn’t require any power, just a trusty lighter. With that in mind, I bought a 6-pack of lighters while I was at the cannabis dispensary. I am still waiting for the storm to make landfall, so Ed and I are watching the Weather Channel plus portioning out the sack of cannabis I just bought. Half of the cannabis will stay in the wooden “smoke box” where I keep all my supplies, but the other few grams will be sealed in a glass jar plus hidden away as an emergency supply.
