Most people experiment with drugs during college, or in their 20s.
Not me.
I went for 55 years without ever taking an illegal drug. Once I retired, I got a medical marijuana card and drove straight to the dispensary. I had many lost years to make up, so I loaded up on weed products, and got high for the first time. After that I never looked back, I embraced my new life by partying hard, and treating every day like it was my last. I may have 30 years left in my life, I may have 30 days, so I need to make sure I enjoy the time I have left. I am open about my newfound love of cannabis, and some of my oldest and dearest friends are concerned about me. They believe what they see on TV, and think the marijuana will make me slow, lazy and stupid, but they are all wrong. I use cannabis on the golf course while shooting 18 holes, and I unwind with it after playing handball. I have never felt more energetic and alive than I do right now. This is not 100% because of cannabis, but weed definitely plays a part in my new approach to life. I try to avoid indica strains of cannabis, because they actually do make me feel lazy. Sativa strains have the very opposite effect on me, which is why I love smoking them while I play golf. Sativa gives me much better focus, especially on the links. My friends can worry all they want, I love smoking weed!
