Girl Scout Cookies is an interesting hybrid strain of cannabis

Before becoming a hobby cannabis grower, I started growing exotic cacti and succulents.

I had a small greenhouse in my backyard where I kept all of my plants.

By the time I finished high school, I had developed a side business where I sold my cacti and succulents once they reached the mature age for shipment. I learned about how you could take two different sets of cacti genetics and cross breed them by mixing their pollen manually. Surprisingly there is a noticeably large market for exotic cacti and succulents, especially on the internet. I considered leaving college to run my business full time, but I had other dreams. I was studying botany in college and wanted to move out west to become a marijuana grower. Since the legal cannabis industry was booming at that time and I was a user myself, it felt like a dream thinking about becoming a marijuana grower some day. Coming from a background in cross breeding exotic cacti, I was fascinated by the process of creating new cannabis genetics by using two or more plants as parents. One of my all time favorite strains of cannabis is the hybrid Girl Scout Cookies which is a cross of OG Kush and Durban Poison. It’s famous for all of the cannabis cookies genetics that are popular throughout the legal cannabis world, especially in my home state of all places. You can find cookie cannabis strains at most legal cannabis dispensaries. I eventually realized my dream and became a marijuana grower, but by the time I finished college my home state legalized weed. That meant I didn’t need to move out west to get a job in the legal cannabis industry.
