I called an online marketing company and asked about SEO and if there could be too much
I had been reading a lot about SEO lately, and I wanted to know how much SEO I needed for the marijuana dispensary website. I wanted enough SEO to attract business, but not so much that it drew away from the marijuana dispensary. When I talked to someone who I thought knew what SEO was, he told me that too much SEO would pull people’s attention away from the marijuana dispensary, and have them focusing only on the website. This made little sense to me. I already knew that SEO was placing keywords into a website and into ads, that helped people find my business. How could you put too many keywords in when marijuana dispensary, cannabis dispensary, or marijuana dispensary near me were just a small smattering of those keywords? I politely told him he didn’t know what he was talking about, but he took offense. He told me to listen to those people at the online marketing companies, and I wouldn’t make a single sale. I told him thank you for his interest and walked away. I called an online marketing company and asked about SEO and if there could be too much. They told me we could go overboard, but only if the wording sounded like the keywords were there only to make the website a little longer. As long as I had strong SEO and not just token words, the business would be a success, but I had to run the business well and keep the website up-to-date and fresh. I needed to change the website as the inventory changed.
