I used to make fun of Becky for clipping coupons.
Now I had to come to her for help, so I guess Becky got the last laugh after all.
This all started when we were roommates, right after college. I was living the high life, going out every night, partying, getting wild after my long days at the office. Becky didn’t party as much as I did. She went to bed early, she ate right, she exercised, and she clipped coupons for shopping. I teased her about being an old lady, but she explained that while each coupon was only for a dime to 50 cents, all combined they saved her hundreds of dollars a year. They don’t have coupons for cannabis dispensaries, but I still learned a lot that helped me from Becky about bargain shopping. I spent a few hours with Becky, mostly sitting at her computer, and she gave me an education. For example, I had not considered visiting the websites for all the local cannabis dispensaries. Once I did, I saw that a few of them had regular discounts and sales on cannabis products. On certain events or dates, they would have cannabis products at reduced prices. I had to start doing my research, and finding the best cannabis sales, because usually they were “flash sales” that only lasted a short period of time. Becky doesn’t smoke cannabis, but the lessons she taught me apply equally well to any story, including the cannabis dispensary. I am grateful to her, and part of me wishes we could smoke cannabis together.
