Most people can’t get high at work, and this is a good thing.
There are a lot of very important and delicate occupations out there, and people need to be clean and sober to do them correctly.
We all know that people like bus drivers, cops, and doctors shouldn’t be “under the influence” while at work. It puts all of society in danger! Those people need to stay focused while working. On the other hand there are a whole lot of other people with menial jobs that can easily be done under the influence of cannabis. Basically every single employee at the shopping mall, Walmart, or Target can be stoned on cannabis all day long and it really wouldn’t make a difference. I work for a used bookstore, so I spend all day smoking marijuana out back and it doesn’t matter at all. I am just as good at stacking and selling old books while stoned as I am sober. If anything, smoking cannabis makes me far more personable, and easier with the customers. I wouldn’t be surprised if most of the customers are also using cannabis, because how else can you spend four hours looking through stacks of books? I told the bosses they should convert half of the store into a small cannabis dispensary, because their existing client base would love it. My bosses are aware that I smoke cannabis on the job, and they are fine with it. After all, this job isn’t like brain surgery or rocket science, so using cannabis helps more than it hurts.
