Monday was a really busy night at the marijuana dispensary and I worked until 1 a.m.
All of us stopped taking deliveries at 11 and the last driver left the store at 11:30.
The marijuana delivery driver did not return until 12:45, but myself and many other employees were waiting for the driver to come back, because the two of us can’t leave until everyone has returned to the building. I understand why that rule is in place and it keeps everyone safe. I have no problem waiting around for the delivery drivers to come back to the building. I was really tired and hungry and it was starting to rain. I really do not prefer driving in the rain. That is a single of the reasons why I do not toil as a delivery driver. I could drive all day and all night if the weather was clear, but I am a wreck as soon as it starts raining. I was trying to get back to my condo before the rain started, but it was already coming down taxing when I left the store. I traveled as slowly as possible on the back roads. They were already wet and muddy. There were potholes all over the road and I thought I was going to lose a tire. I made it all the way up the mountain separate from getting into an accident, but as soon as I got into my own driveway, things changed. I started sliding on the mud and I slammed on the brakes instead of applying them gently. I slammed right into the mailbox and took it out completely.
