I don’t like to listen to people complain about marijuana, especially when they clearly don’t know anything at all about the plant or its medicinal uses. I was one of those people at one time. I didn’t know anything about medical marijuana. I thought people using marijuana as medicine was a joke. I learned actually how wrong I was after the doctor prescribed medical marijuana for the pain in my back. I thought that the doctor was joking, but he told me that this was the only alternative that he could recommend unless I wanted to start taking more pain pills. I did not want to take more pain pills, because I did not want to end up with an addiction like my older brother, however he is doing 10 years in the state penitentiary because of an addiction to heroin. That’s one of the reasons why I did not want to ever start doing drugs. I always thought marijuana was a drug until the doctor said I should start using it every single day. I didn’t tell anyone at first when I went to the medical marijuana clinic and got my card. I was afraid of what my friends and family would think about me, but once I saw how medical marijuana could really help the pain that I was feeling everyday, I wanted to share the news with all the people that I knew. I didn’t care if they thought I was crazy or not, however marijuana certainly does make people feel better and it easily helps with pain. I am a believer now and forever.
